I met Cyndi and Gregg this summer when I photographed their outdoor wedding. The b&w image you see was shot as we were all huddled in the outdoor gazebo just before the ceremony was to begin. With the wind at our backs, Gregg held on tight to his bride-to-be and to his son as we watched the wind bend over the trees across the park. Thankfully, we all made it to shelter and the storm passed within an hour and this loving couple were (finally!) able to exchange their vows, this time inside the Emporium along the East Race. Their wedding photos were an absolute delight to shoot. Gregg & Cyndi’s love was more radiant than the double rainbow (oh my god) that appeared in the sky around sunset.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, when I had the pleasure of once again photographing this family — and found their love just as vibrant as before.
There is never a dull moment with these guys, there’s always a joke and son Darrin (lovingly called The Boy by his father) loves to quote his favorite shows, The Simpsons and Futurama.
Down at the new Riverwalk in Mishawaka, we were treated to stunning fall colors! We played in the leaves and enjoyed a beautiful sunset stroll. Working with the Sims is a perfect example of the reason I love photography – it’s a great honor to be the chosen professional to capture these timeless moments!
